Richard & Michelle’s Marquee Wedding
Richard & Michelle’s marquee wedding in Oundle was a quintessential English wedding and hard to beat. The wedding was held in my home town of Oundle in Northamptonshire at a small town church and the reception was held at Richard parents place in the next village. Transport for the bride and groom was provided by Richards father who has a small collection of classic cars and the guests travelled by route master buses.
This marquee wedding looked stunning, the food was hearty steak and kidney pies, and the cake was made of cheese. What more could you possibly want. Although this was a very local wedding for me it was in a strange way an international wedding too. Richard and Michelle actually live in Abu Dhabi, and Michelle’s family generously travelled from Ireland to attend the wedding.
Marquee weddings are usually a very informal affair and I mean that in a good way. The only issue is having enough outdoor space in which to work with the newly married couple. In this case Polebrook Hall kindly granted us access to their grounds to photograph Richard and Michelle and it was a great opportunity to get some exclusive photographs from this secretive venue.
